My Testimony

            Alright let’s see. I suppose it’s probably best to start at the beginning. I know that we have a Heavenly Father in Heaven and that we are his children. I know that we have an elder Brother, Jesus Christ. I know that the third member of the Godhead is the Holy Ghost. I know that all three of them love us and because of that love they have done different things and made sacrifices for us. Our Heavenly Father created this world for us. He created the Plan of Salvation so that we could receive bodies and become like him. He has a body and is a perfect being and we want to be like him that is why we are here. In the pre-existence he gave us each a choice whether or not to follow His plan or follow Lucifer’s. Lucifer wanted everyone to come to earth, but we wouldn’t have agency and so the Lord rejected his plan and Lucifer was so angry he rebelled and took one third of the host of heaven with him. I know that he tempts us in our lives to sin because he wants us to be miserable like him, but enough about him let’s talk about what I know about our savior. I know he loved us so much he was willing to suffer our sins, our sorrows, our pains, our everything so that when we went through it he would be able to say honestly “I know what you are going through and I can help you through it. He also died for us so that he could be resurrected and then we could be resurrected and we could live again with Him and our Heavenly Father. I know that the Holy Ghost doesn't have a body and because of this he can be several places at once and so he is our comforter and helper in our daily lives. I know that we are descended from Adam and that he received the True gospel. He passed it down, but through the centuries it was corrupted and changed and so When Jesus came to the earth he restored it, but after his death and the death of the apostles it left the earth again until a young boy named Joseph Smith prayed to the Lord to know which church was true. Joseph Smith received a vision of the Father and Jesus who told him not to join any of the churches but to restore the true church on the earth. Joseph received the Book of Mormon which is a history of the Lord’s people in America. Joseph with the Lord’s help was able to restore the gospel to the earth and he created the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Joseph was a prophet of the Lord and he did restore the church. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today. I know that there is a life after death. I believe that there is no Hell, but everyone will be saved just the level of saving depends on how you lived your life.  I believe the Book of Mormon is true. I believe that I am a member of the true church.
